I was most definitely in a place when I worked on this bad boy, but I am so happy with the way it turned out. I poured my soul out here, digging deep into relationships and their connection to Jesus. It wasn't easy for me especially in the later part of 2013 when we made this. Wit handled the A&R duties and we recorded the majority of this at his place in Claymont, with the rest being done at The Flutter. The R&B feel was planned. Wit said that he felt the genre was lacking so we went for the jugular. I had no idea that people would connect so hard (and that the Christian women would flog me for Wanna!) I mean, by that time I was pretty much the Nate Dogg of CHH, so it was time to establish myself away from all the features and co-signs. That is the genesis of SOR.
